Partnership with Paymentsense enables businesses to easily take card and contactless payments at point of sale
Credit and debit cards have overtaken cash as Britain’s main payment method; cards are now the preferred payment method in over three-quarters of retail sales. With this trend set to continue, it’s critical that card transactions are processed as efficiently as possible.
To help builders’ merchants achieve this, MAM Software has partnered with Paymentsense to integrate card payment functionality into its Trader business management software.
Working in conjunction with a card machine, Trader users can now process chip-and-pin and contactless payments directly from their point of sale. Users simply select the Paymentsense option from the ‘method of payment’ screen and follow the on-screen prompts, which reflect those presented on the card machine.
The integration means that users no longer have to manually enter the transaction amount into the card machine. Not only does this save time, it also prevents users from mis-typing values on the keypad and recording transactions incorrectly, effectively eliminating human error.
Payments can be processed within Trader’s ‘point of sale’, ‘sales order entry’ and ‘receipt of payment’ screens. Transaction identifiers are recorded in Trader for reporting purposes, and can be printed on the Trader invoice if required.
The processing service is provided by Paymentsense, one of Europe’s fastest growing fintech businesses. The company processes over 250 million card payments per year from its 70,000 customers, using its size to negotiate better rates so savings can be passed on
A range of card machines are available, including countertop (wired), portable (Bluetooth/WiFi) and mobile (GPRS) models. They accept all major credit and debit cards – including Visa, Mastercard and American Express – and offer the latest contactless, Apple Pay and Android Pay technology.
“We are continually developing our products to keep up with the latest technological advancements, and looking for new ways in which we can help our customers improve productivity and reduce costs,” said Mark Kendall, sales director at MAM Software.
“This partnership with Paymentsense is another example of our commitment to providing our customers with the right tools they need to run their business. The integration helps speed up transaction processing, reduces keying errors and provides users with access to competitive processing fees.”
