Single malt whisky specialist implements new business systems as part of a significant investment in its future growth
Starting in early 2020, Cooper Software, the Fife-based enterprise software specialists will work to replace an array of legacy systems with one unified enterprise resource planning platform – IFS Applications 10.
With a scheduled handover and go-live date in early 2021, this swift implementation project will ensure a quick return on family-owned Gordon & MacPhail’s investment – reducing costs, boosting efficiency and, ultimately, better serving their customers’ needs. By streamlining processes linking sales demand to production, procurement and stock management processes, the system is projected to deliver significant savings.
Next phase of growth
Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail is renowned for its premium Scotch whiskies including some of the world’s oldest and rarest. The company has celebrated a string of successes in the past year including the celebration of the 20th anniversary of distilling at Benromach Distillery, the launch of Red Door Gin and significant growth in international sales. The Elgin-based business has also secured planning permission to build a second distillery near Grantown-on-Spey. IFS Applications 10 will offer an essential foundation for the next phase of growth.
