Pegasus Software has announced that Bell Lighting, a leading manufacturer and supplier of light sources and fixtures to the electrical wholesale industry, has deployed Opera 3 for 35 users across its UK operations. The solution is helping the manufacturer to keep pace with rapid business growth – from a turnover of £8 million in 2011 to a predicted £20 million in 2014. Through improving accuracy, driving efficiencies and supporting multi-channel customer service, Opera 3 will allow Bell Lighting to capitalise on new opportunities and continue to realise its ambitious growth plans.
As part of a project to consolidate its warehousing operations, Bell Lighting selected Opera 3 through Pegasus’ Partner, Applied Business Computers. The decision was based on Opera 3’s ability to maximise efficiencies, support multi-channel customer service, drive productivity and improve accuracy.
“Our business has seen close to three-fold growth in the last few years, and our chosen system therefore had to scale to allow us to keep pace with additional demand while providing optimum levels of customer service,” comments Andrew Baines, Operations Manager, Bell Lighting. “We are now able to provide levels of accuracy and efficiency which mean that we can offer goods at very competitive prices, safe in the knowledge that customers will receive their orders in a timely manner.”
“I have extensive experience in warehousing having worked with the likes of Tesco and Exel Logistics and was initially sceptical about adopting a mid-range accounting system. However in Opera 3 we have a powerful, flexible system which provides all the functionality and scalability that a fast-growing business requires – without a Red Prarie-esque price tag.”
