Happy staff make happy customers at OrderWise

Software specialist OrderWise has rewarded two of its members of staff with promotions. Dave Collins has been promoted to Internal Improvement Manager and Karl Blakesley has made the move from Marketing Consultant to Manager.

Dave heads up the new Internal Improvement Team which gives employees the opportunity to progress in their careers.

The Internal Improvement programme aims to support both new starters and existing staff throughout their time at OrderWise. For those joining the company, an induction takes place in the form of an intensive three-week training period, allowing staff to familiarise themselves with the software before assuming their roles in specific departments.

After starting his career at OrderWise as a software trainer back in 2015, Dave is now looking forward to the challenges of a new role.

Dave said: “From day one, the focus here is very much about making employees feel included and part of the OrderWise family. We don’t just offer people jobs, we offer them career opportunities and progression within the company. We believe the key to success is educating our workforce to work smarter not harder.”

Karl Blakesley, who began his career at OrderWise in 2014 as Marketing Consultant, has been promoted to Marketing Manager. He said: “My role includes managing the growing marketing team and activities at OrderWise on a day-to-day basis. This is in addition to raising awareness of the OrderWise brand both locally and nationally. My aim is to get the name out there, and in front of the right people.”

These promotions come on the back of the company’s commitment to keeping staff happy, healthy and motivated, which is reflected in the vast number of perks that are rewarded to staff. These include a staff recreation room, which comes equipped with a gym and table tennis equipment which can be used during breaks to help employees unwind. A large, complimentary basket of fresh fruit is also supplied to departments each week.

Additionally, staff also have their own online training portal, which can be used to strengthen skills at any time, allowing them to gain badges each time they complete a course.

Through dedication and nurturing, OrderWise has around ten employees who have been working for the company for more than a decade.
